Fighting for the Families the System Forgot

"And the dream for a future where every family, regardless of their structure, color, or financial standing, receives the backing and dignity they deserve."

Every day, millions of single mothers and their children are left invisible by a legal system that fails to enforce the support they deserve.
Facts of Abandonment exists to expose this silent crisis — and to fight for real change.
We are a movement built on truth, fueled by resilience, and driven by a simple belief:
no child’s security should depend on whether their parents ever married.
Together, we will hold institutions accountable, demand reform, and build a future where every family, no matter its structure, has the protection and dignity it deserves.
Join us — because silence is not an option.

Controversies

Judicial History of Neglect

The issue, which traces back to the founding of our constitution and the formation of our nation, shedding light on our government and systemic and continual abuse towards single mothers and their children

Culture Motivation

Fathers abandoning their children with the government's silent approval, leaving mothers to bear this burden alone.

Feminism

A percent of women who enjoy being single mothers express nothing but what a positive experience, they feel and know being a single mother. While they may feel empowered raising their children alone, there are often unspoken moments of anger and frustration.

Mission

"Illuminating the discrimination within our country to this specific family structure."

Premise

Fathers have the legal power to abandon their responsibilities and have significant control over their children's lives. With a government that helps irresponsible fathers escape the realities of fathering a child.

Rather than simply increasing economic assistance for single mothers, we should focus on the critical issue of absent fathers and the trauma inflicted on abandoned women and children.
